Experimental study on identification of polyhexamethylene guanidine neutralizing agent
Objective To provide a basis for further research on the bactericidal effect of polyhexamethylene guanidine disinfectants by selecting and identifying neutralizing agents. Methods Adopts the quantitative identification test method of neutralizing agent suspension. Results This study showed that using Escherichia coli 8099 and Candida albicans ATCC10231 as indicator bacteria,PBS with 5 g/L sodium dodecyl sulfate,20 g/L lecithin, and 20 g/L Tween 80,the residual effects of four polyhexamethylene guanidine disinfectants could be effectively neutralized. Conclusion PBS with 5 g/L sodium dodecyl sulfate,20 g/L lecithin and 20 g/L Tween 80 is an ideal neutralizing agent for removing residual polyhexamethylene guanidine disinfectant.
