Objective To understand the drinking water exposure factors of residents in Wenzhou,Zhejiang province,so as to provide the basic data for the follow-up drinking water health risk assessment.Methods In October 2022,a self-designed questionnaire was used to investigate the residents who had lived in Wenzhou,Zhejiang for more than 6 months via an online questionnaire.The basic situation of the residents,water intake,skin wading activity time and other important factors were collected.Results The residents in Wenzhou mainly consume tap water,primarily boiled water.The median water intake of all residents was 1 475.1 ml/d,that of adults was 1 582.1 ml/d,and that of minors was 1 278.5 ml/d.There were significant differences in water intake among residents in different seasons,gender,age and BMI(P<0.05).The total skin wading time for daily living activities was 31.9 min/d,among which the bathing time was the longest(9.0 min/d),and the wading time for women(32.5 min/d)was greater than that for men(29.8 min/d).The overall adult resident body weight and skin surface area were 57.7 kg and 1.47 m2,respectively,70.5 kg and 1.84 m2 for adult males and 54.5 kg and 1.56 m2 for females.The body weight and skin surface area of adolescent residents were 33.8 kg and 1.14 m2,respectively,of which 32.7 kg and 1.12 m2 were for adolescent males and 35.2 kg and 1.17 m2 for adolescent females.Conclusion Water intake and skin wading activities of residents in Wenzhou,Zhejiang province are affected by season,gender,age and other factors,and there are differences with other countries and regions.Therefore,it is necessary to conduct a regional survey of water exposure factors to ensure the accuracy and scientificity of follow-up water health risk assessment results.
