Analysis of sewage monitoring results and influencing factors in some medical institutions in Guangzhou from 2017 to 2021
Objective To understand the changes of qualified rate of medical sewage in Baiyun district,Guangzhou city from 2017 to 2021,and to explore the influencing factors of qualified rate of microbial indicators of medical sewage and improve the quality effect of sewage disinfection in medical institutions. Methods By collecting 328 cases of coliform,Shigella,Salmonella, and residual chlorine values detected in medical sewage in recent 5 years, this paper retrospectively analyzed the influence of basic information, sewage treatment process, disinfection components and other conditions on microbial indexes of medical sewage in 51 medical institutions in 2021.Results The total qualified rate of medical sewage was 71.65%.The items with low pass rate were coliform(76.83%)and residual chlorine(76.51%).The qualified rate of chlorine-containing disinfection method(NaClO,84.62%;ClO2,64.28%)was higher than ozone/ULTRAVIOLET disinfection(54.55%).The residual chlorine concentration of the outlet ranged from ND to 8.80 mg/L,which was divided into 4 groups according to the concentration of"<0.1","0.1-0.5","0.5-1"and"≥1.0".The qualified rates of microbial indexes were 50%,71.43%,80%and 90.48%respectively,and the differences were statistically significant(x2=8.128,P=0.043).Logistic regression analysis showed that the risk of unqualified microbiological indexes in the residual chlorine concentration(mg/L)"≥1.0"group was lower than that in the"<0.1"group(OR(95%CI)=0.098(0.013-0.757),P=0.026).Conclusion The overall qualified rate of medical sewage in Baiyun district is low.Chlorine-containing disinfection is the most widely used method with the best disinfection effect in this area, but attention should be paid to balance disinfection effect and environmental protection, and efforts should be made to improve disinfection process and strengthen personnel training to improve the accuracy of chlorine dosage.
