Simultaneous determination of 16 rare earth elements in urine by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry
Objective To establish a test method for simultaneous determination of 16 rare earth elements in urine by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry, including lanthanum, cerium, praseodymium, neodymium, europium, gadolinium, dysprosium, samarium, terbium, holmium, erbium, thulium, ytterbium, lutetium, scandium and yttrium. Methods The urine was diluted 10 times with 1%nitric acid and then filtered,ICP-MS standard mode and standard addition method were used to determine the concentration of rare earth elements. Results The linear range of scandium was 0.1-10 μg/L,and the linear range of the remaining 15 rare earth elements was 0.05-10 μg/L,the linear relationship of regression equation was good,r>0.999.The limit of detection was 0.017-0.215 μg/L,the limit of quantitations were 0.052-0.718 μg/L.The recoveries were 92.1%-107.2%.The RSDs were 0.2%-7.4%.Conclusion This method is accurate, rapid, stable and highly sensitive and is applicable to the simultaneous analysis of 16 rare earth elements in urine.
