Investigation on Cryptosporidium spp.pollution in pasture environment of Baotou,Inner Mongolia
Objective To know the pollution situation of Cryptosporidium in typical pastoral area of Baotou,Inner Mongolia. Methods In December 2016,the samples of soil, herbage, feed and drinking water, surface water, ground water and sewage treatment water were collected for microscopic examination. The positive samples were amplified by nested PCR and then sequenced to analyze the species characteristics of the Cryptosporidium. Results The rate of cattle infected with the Cryptosporidium was 34.6%(72/208),water sample was 28.6%(2/7),while none positive results were found in the soil sand plant samples. The positive rate of nested PCR amplification was 4.2%(9/208)in cow samples, two positive water samples were amplified and sequenced successfully. The results of sequencing showed that all the 11 positive samples were belonged to Cryptosporidium Andersoni. Conclusion Cryptosporidium Andersoni is the main cause of cryptosporidium contamination in the pasturing area of Baotou, and more attention should be paid to the animal husbandry related environmental impact.
