Contamination status of Cd and Pb in soils and health risk in Zibo,Shandong province
Objective To know the contamination status of Cd and Pb in soils and the health risk in Zibo,Shandong province. Methods From June to August in 2022,the contents of Cd and Pb in the soils and vegetables of Linzi,Yiyuan and Zhangdian in Zibo were determined. The Nemerow pollution indexes(PN)and the influence indexes of comprehesive quality(IICQ)were used to evaluate the contamination status of Cd and Pb in the soils. The exposure risk model recommended by USEPA was used to assess the health risk caused by Cd and Pb in soils. Results The mean contents of Cd and Pb in soils were(0.14±0.08)and(26.34±14.23)mg/kg,and ranged from 0.02 to 0.49 and 0.56 to 95.55 mg/kg,respectively.The average content of Cd and Pb in soils from high to low was Zhangdian>Yiyuan>Linzi. The PN value of Cd in soil was 1.21.The PN value of Cd in Zhangdian soil was 1.24.The IICQ value of Zibo was 3.72.The IICQ value of Linzi was 1.50,that of Yiyuan was 2.52,and that of Zhangdian was 7.15.The non-carcinogenic risk and carcinogenic risk of Cd and Pb in soils for adults and children were still within the acceptable risk level. The health risk of Cd and Pb for children were higher than that for adults.Oral exposure was the main route. Conclusion In Zibo, the soil quality is moderate contamination and Cd is at slight contamination level, and the health risks of Cd and Pb of the present levels in the soils are acceptable.
