Investigation of composition and element content of 154 batches of smear facial mask with or without minerals
Objective To know the types and addition rates of mineral ingredients in the smeared facial mask containing mineral raw materials and the content of 37 elements such as lithium in such products,and to explore the quality and safety risks related to mineral ingredients and element content in products.Methods The composition list of 154 batches of smeared facial mask was inquired,and the types and addition rate of mineral raw materials in the composition were counted.The content of 37 elements such as lithium in the above samples was determined by inductively coupled plasma mass spectrometry of 37 elements such as lithium in Safety Technical Specifications for Cosmetics(2015 edition),and the detection rate and content of elements in the samples with or without mineral components were compared.Results There were 21 kinds of mineral components were detected in 71 batches of samples containing mineral components,of which the three types with the highest addition rates were kaolin,silica and bentonite,with addition rates of 65.7%,22.9%and 17.1%respectively.There were more kinds of elements detected in the smeared facial mask containing mineral components,in which the detection rate of 37 elements was 60.0-100%.Some harmful elements such as chromium,lithium,vanadium,manganese,copper,thorium,etc.had higher content.Conclusion There are more kinds of elements in the smeared facial mask containing mineral components,with higher content,and there may be quality and safety risks related to harmful elements.
