Health effects and mechanism of motor vehicle exhaust particulates:a review of recent studies
With the continuous progress and development of human society,in order to meet the needs of human production and life, motor vehicles have become more and more popular, motor vehicle exhaust was listed as 2B class carcinogen in 2014,of which diesel vehicle exhaust particulate matter was upgraded from 2A carcinogens to 1 class carcinogens in 2012.The particulate matter in motor vehicle exhaust will also adsorb different types of carcinogens, further enhancing the harm to the human body.Epidemiological studies have shown that motor vehicle exhaust has a damaging effect on the respiratory system, circulatory system, nervous system and reproductive system and inducing the occurrence of diseases. In addition, motor vehicle exhaust is also closely related to the occurrence of inflammatory response,as well as the abnormal expression and translation of some cellular proteins. At present, the research on the health effects of motor vehicle exhaust is still in the development stage, and the research on the combined toxic effects and mechanisms of motor vehicle exhaust and other pollutants needs to be further explored. In this paper, the related studies that have been conducted in recent years were reviewed in detail.
