Effect of plateau environment on crew health and work capacity:a review of recent studies
Our country has a large area of plateau,with a harsh natural environment characterized by low air pressure,low oxygen content,low temperature,large temperature difference between day and night and strong ultraviolet radiation.The characteristics of diseases in the plateau environments are significantly different from those in other regions.At present,systematic research has been conducted on personnel who rush into plateau environments,but the research on maintaining the operational capabilities of crew members(generally referring to special types of troops such as plateau armored forces,resident training forces and automotive forces)in the plateau environments is not in-depth enough.The border of China's plateau is long and complex,and the ability of officers and soldiers to carry out duties in the plateau environments for a long time has received special attention.This article reviewed the current researches on the impact and mechanism of high-altitude environment on crew health and work ability both domestically and internationally,and presented the research directions for crew work ability in high altitude environment.
