Mediation effect of coping adaptation on disease uncertainty and social adaptation in patients with decompensated liver cirrhosis
Objective To explore the mediation effect of coping adaptation on disease uncertainty and social adaptation in patients with decompensated liver cirrhosis.Methods A total of 109 patients with decompensated liver cirrhosis treated in Nantong Third People's Hospital from January to December 2021 were chosen as research objects by convenient sampling.The patients were investigated using the general data questionnaire,brief coping adaptation scale,Chinese version of the Mishel disease uncertainty scale,and inpatient social adaptation scale.Results The score of coping adaptation,disease uncertainty and social adaptability of the patients was 32.66±4.98,83.06±6.64 and 87.70±7.83,respectively.Coping adaptation and social adaptability were negatively associated with the sense of disease uncertainty(r=-0.381,-0.459,P<0.05).Coping adaptation was positively correlated with social adaptability(r=0.579,P<0.05).The verification results of Bootstrap mediation effect showed that coping adaptation played a partial mediation role between the sense of disease uncertainty and social adaptability,and the proportion of mediation effect was 35.80%of the total effect.Conclusion The sense of disease uncertainty can directly affect the social adaptability of patients with decompensated liver cirrhosis and indirectly affect the social adaptability by regulating coping adaptation.Nursing staff can help to ameliorate the sense of disease uncertainty through a positive psychological perspective,and take coping adaptability as the entry point to improve patient's social adaptability.
