Comparison of postoperative analgesic effects between flurbiprofen axetil and lornoxicam in elderly patients with hip fractures
Objective To compare the postoperative analgesic effects between flurbiprofen axetil and lornoxicam in elderly patients with hip fractures. Methods Eighty elderly patients with hip fractures who were admitted to the Linquan People's Hospital between January and December 2022 were randomly selected for this study. They were divided into control group and study group by random number method(n=40).Lornoxicam and flurbiprofen axetil were used for postoperative analgesia in the control group and study group, respectively. The stress response, analgesic effect, oral painkillers, medication safety, and hip joint recovery were compared between the two groups. Results There were no significant differences in trauma stress indicators, visual analogue scale was no significant difference in the range of motion of the hip joint between the two groups before operation. The postoperative range of motion of the hip joint was larger than preoperative one in both groups, and the range of motion in the study group was larger than that in the control group at 4,8 and 12 weeks after surgery(all P<0.05).Conclusion Flurbiprofen axetil exhibits better analgesic effect than lornoxicam. It can significantly reduce the use of oral painkillers after surgery and promote hip function recovery, with less adverse reactions and high safety.
