Research focus of swallowing rehabilitation after laryngectomy:visual analysis based on CiteSpace
Objective To analyze the focus and advance in the research of swallowing recovery after laryngectomy(SRAL)at home and abroad,so as to provide reference for future research. Methods Chinese and English literatures on the topic of SRAL were retrieved from CNKI,Wanfang,Web of Science and PubMed from January 1,2000 to November 25,2023.Visual analysis was conducted using CiteSpace 5.8.R3 software. Results A total of 259 Chinese literatures and 1 273 English literatures were included after removing duplicates and irrelevant literatures.Chinese literatures on SRAL gradually increased since 2018.The number of English literatures on SRAL showed an overall upward trend.Chinese authors were scattered, and there was limited cooperation among them. There were relatively more foreign authors, and their connection was closer. The number of SRAL studies published by Chinese authors ranked the second, but there was a lack of centrality and connection. The Chinese keyword cluster included laryngeal cancer, quality of life, rehabilitation, etc.,while the English keyword cluster included laryngeal cancer, dysphagia, squamous cell carcinoma, etc. The domestic studies focused on the treatment and nursing of swallowing training for laryngectomy, while the international studies paid more attention to the etiology, mechanism and clinical application of surgical treatment. Conclusion There are many literatures on SRAL by Chinese authors, but there is a lack of collaboration between institutions and authors,as well as high-quality scientific research results.Institutional and international cooperation should be strengthened to carry out multi-center studies. The guideline for SRAL in China should be established as soon as possible.
