Simulation and Numerical Analysis of Cutting Temperature Field of TC4 Titanium Alloy
A three-dimensional milling model of hard alloy end mills milling TC4 titanium alloy workpiece was established by using ABAQUS finite element simulation software.The angular velocity and feed rate of the tool were used as input load variables to explore the effect of different milling parameters on the cutting temperature field of TC4 titanium alloy.The simulation results showed that under the same cutting depth,the higher the tool's angular velocity and feed rate,the larger the numerical value of the temperature field during the cutting process.A numerical analysis was performed by using the cutting temperature field empirical calculation formula and software MATLAB.The results showed that the numerical value of the cutting temperature field increased with the increase of the cutting depth,feed per tooth,and cutting speed.The cutting speed had the greatest influence on the cutting temperature field of TC4 titanium alloy,followed by feed per tooth,while the cutting depth had the smallest influence on the cutting temperature field of TC4 titanium alloy.
