Research on Active Cooling Method for Precision Machine Tool Spindles
Aiming at the thermal error control problem of precision machine tool spindles,a thermal error control scheme based on spiral coil tube for active cooling of spindles is designed.By constructing a spindle thermal behaviors testing system,an active cooling system for the spindle based on PT-400H precision machine tool has been completed.Through thermal behaviors experiments of active cooling of the spindle at different coolant temperatures,it was shown that the coolant temperature has no significant effect on the thermal equilibrium time, but has a significant impact on steady-state thermal error. The thermal fluid structure coupling simulation model can accurately reflect the heat generation and deformation inside the spindle, estimate the thermal equilibrium time and steady-state thermal error under certain experimental conditions, and provide reference for engineering applications.
