Research on Cylindrical Magnetorheological Polishing Head
Aiming at the problems of low polishing efficiency and low surface accuracy in the polishing process of large-diameter optical parts, based on the concept of large-area contact,a"ribbon"shaped magnetic field generation structure is proposed by using an electromagnet to generate a gradient magnetic field. The composition module of the cylindrical magnetorheological polishing head is introduced, and the magnetic field is simulated and optimized by using finite element simulation software. The left and right magnetic pole widths are analyzed. The influence of main factors such as air gap width and magnetic core width on the magnetic field was studied, and process experiments were conducted. The results show that the cylindrical magnetorheological polishing head can achieve high-quality polishing of optical components on the surface, with a simple equipment structure and certain practical value.
