Research on Quantitative Similarity Assessment for Aircraft Systems Based on Importance
With the rapid update and replacement of aircraft models in civil aviation, the development of a new aircraft equipment list has become crucial. To expedite the research and development process,it is beneficial to modify and optimize the equipment list of existing mature aircraft models. However,it is chal-lenging to determine whether such modifications are suitable. Therefore,a similarity evaluation method for aircraft systems based on the theories of importance and cosine similarity is proposed. The hydraulic sys-tem functions and structures of similar aircraft models from Boeing and Airbus are analyzed.A functional hazard assessment is conducted, and a fault tree is established.Based on the occurrence probabilities of component failures, the component probability importance and critical importance are calculated.Using these importance data, the cosine similarity is computed. The result, which is close to 1,indicates a certain level of similarity and correlation among the hydraulic systems of similar aircraft models. This method al-lows for the evaluation of whether aircraft systems are similar and correlated, providing support for modif-ying and improving the equipment list of new aircraft based on existing similar models.
