Analysis of Terminal Traffic Flow Characteristics Based on CTM
To elucidate the spatiotemporal evolution patterns of terminal area traffic flow and uncover con-gestion mechanisms,we constructed a macroscopic traffic flow model based on the Cellular Traffic Model(CTM).Taking into account the structural characteristics of route connections, convergence, and diver-gence,we defined three types of cell configurations:general, convergence, and divergence cells.Further-more,we introduced the concepts of cell priority and divergence coefficient to address traffic distribution issues in the case of intersecting routes.Using this proposed model, developed a terminal area traffic flow simulation platform with AnyLogic and validated the model's accuracy with actual ADS-B data. Finally,we conducted sensitivity analysis on the model using variables such as control intervals and control speeds. The results indicate that the proposed CTM model can accurately model the flow of arriving and departing flights. There is a clear correlation between terminal area traffic flow volume, density, and veloc-ity.Control intervals and speeds indirectly influence the operational state of traffic flow by affecting the critical density within cells.Using the CTM model for deducing the spatiotemporal dynamics of terminal area traffic flow will contribute to alleviating traffic congestion and enhancing the overall efficiency of the system.
