Study of Nonlinear Reduced Order Modeling Based on LSQ for Gust Response Predictions
Gust is a strong wind disturbance in the atmosphere.Reduced order model is an effective means to solve the problem of high cost and long period of gust response CFD numerical simulation.Based on the unsteady numerical simulation of CFD,a nonlinear reduced order model is developed to meet needs of high efficiency and high precision calculation and analysis of gust response, which consists in parallel proper orthogonal decomposition and nonlinear least square method and is based on flow physics.Subsonic and transonic tests were run.The comparison between the results using the reduced order model and the unsteady CFD method shows that the model is computationally accurate and efficient, which is suitable for gust response analysis in the aircraft design and certification process.
