Research on Airspace Capacity Evaluation Method under the Integrated Operation of Conventional Aircraft and RPA
The integrated operation of Remotely Piloted Aircraft(RPA)in uncontrolled airspace is one of the complex challenges currently faced by the aviation industry. To enable RPA and traditional aircraft to operate in uncontrolled airspace,it is necessary to address the issue of airspace capacity assessment under RPA fusion operation.Based on the AirTop simulation platform, evaluates how RPA integrated operation will affect airspace performance by assessing airspace operational performance indicators such as work-loads,the number of airspace conflicts and severity, average flight durationand distance of sectors and so on.And based on this,a new method for evaluating airspace capacity under integrated operation is pro-posed,which determines the saturation capacity value of airspace under different mixing ratios and target level of safety by identifying sudden changes in sector capacity and control load curve. The research re-sults will determine the sector capacity under different mixed ratios of manned and unmanned aerial vehi-cles.
