Study on the correlation between premenstrual syndrome and job burnout among clinical nursing staff
Objective To explore the correlation between premenstrual syndrome and job burnout among clinical nurses.Methods Totally,306 nurses from 18 departments of a Grade Ⅲ A hospital in Ningxia were surveyed by the general information question-naire,Maslach Burnout Inventory and Premenstrual Syndrome Scale.Results The incidence of job burnout and premenstrual syndrome were 74.51%and 56.21%respectively,and the total score of job burnout was(41.71±8.64).The score of premenstrual syndrome was positively correlated with the score of job burnout and its dimensions(P<0.05).Conclusion The incidence of occupational burnout among clinical nurses is high,and premenstrual syndrome has an impact on their occupational burnout.Nursing managers should take effective measures to improve the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome in clinical nurses so as to reduce their job burnout level.
