Application study of preventive nursing project of unplanned extubation at implantable venous access ports for cancer pa-tients
Objective To explore the effect of nursing program in reducing unplanned extubation of implantable intravenous infusion port in cancer patients. Methods A total of 65 tumor patients with implantable intravenous infusion port from November 2021 to April 2022 were se-lected as the control group, and 55 tumor patients with implantable intravenous infusion port from May 2022 to October 2022 were selected as the observation group. The nursing project method was used to analyze the causes of various catheter-related complications of unplanned extu-bation at the infusion port, and implement multidisciplinary collaborative nursing project activities. Results The complications related to port intravenous catheter implantation were reduced in the observation group, and the incidence of unplanned extubation was lower than that in the control group(P<0.01 or P<0.05).The self-management ability of the observation group's implantable venous access ports was better than that of the control group(P<0.01).Conclusion Nursing project can effectively reduce the incidence of unplanned extubation of tumor pa-tients with implantable venous infusion port and improve the self-management ability of those tumor patients.
