Application of Traditional Chinese Medicine nursing program in intestinal function recovery of patients with spleen deficiency syndrome after colorectal cancer surgery
Objective To explore the effect of Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM)nursing program on intestinal function recovery of patients with spleen deficiency syndrome after colorectal cancer surgery.Methods A before-and-after study design was adopted.A total of 224 patients in a tertiary A hospital of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine in Shanghai were selected by convenient sampling method and divided into the control group(n=109)and the experimental group(n=115).The control group was given conventional integrat-ed traditional Chinese and western medicine nursing,and the experimental group was given TCM nursing program based on the control group.The intestinal function recovery time,exhaust time after 72 h of postoperative,abdominal distension degree were compared between the two groups.Results Postoperative intestinal recovery time,exhaust time after 72 h of postoperative in the experimental group were shor-ter than that of the control group(P＜0.05),the score of abdominal distension was reduced than that of the control group(P＜0.05).Conclusion The TCM nursing program can promote early recovery of intestinal function and improve gastrointestinal function.
