The influence of perceived authentic leadership on innovative behavior:the chain mediating role of perceived organizational support and organizational identification
Objective To explore the multiple mediating roles of perceived organizational support and organizational identification be-tween perceived authentic leadership and innovative behavior among nurses.Methods The general information questionnaire,Authentic Leadership Questionnaire,Perceived Organizational Support Scale,Organizational Identification Questionnaire,and Nurse Innovative Behavior Scale were used to survey 401 clinical nurses from three tertiary hospitals in Wuhan.Results The scores of perceived authentic leadership,perceived organizational support,organizational identification,and innovative behavior among nurses were(58.45±10.99),(44.33±9.24),(21.58±4.54)and(33.22±8.27),respectively,and each variable was significantly correlated with another(all P<0.01).The mediating effect analysis results showed that the mediating effect value of perceived organizational support and organizational identification was 0.206 and 0.190,respectively.The chain mediating effect value of perceived organizational support and organizational identification was 0.068.Conclusion The nurses'perceived authentic leadership is closely related to innovative behavior,nursing managers can adopt authentic lead-ership,pay attention to providing organizational support for nurses to improve their organizational identification,and create more beneficial conditions for nurse's innovation behavior.
