The current situation and influencing factors of unmet demand for supportive care in patients undergoing robot-assisted radi-cal prostatectomy
Objective To investigate the unment need for supportive care in patients undergoing robot-assisted laparoscopic radical re-section for prostate cancer and analysis its influencing factors.Methods A total of 248 prostate cancer patients from a grade A general hospi-tal in Shanghai was investigated through the general information questionnaire,the Short-Form Survivor Unmet Needs Survey(SF-SUNS),Medical Coping Modes Questionnaire(MCMQ)and Hospital Anxiety and Depression Scale(HADS)after radical robot-assisted laparoscopic surgery.Results The total score of unmet care need was(61.96±16.82),which was positively correlated with patients'coping style,the status of anxiety and depression(P<0.05).The regression analyses revealed that Gleason score,avoidance coping,anxiety and depression were the main influencing factors for unmet needs of supportive care in prostate cancer patients(P<0.05).Conclusion Unmet supportive care needs of patients after robot-assisted laparoscopic radical prostatectomy for prostate cancer is at a moderate level,and individualized interventions and management can be targeted at patients with high anxiety and depression,high Gleason scores,and those who used avoidant coping styles.
