The study on status quo and influencing factors of fertility desire of emergency nurses
Objective To understand the fertility intentions of emergency nurses and analyze their influencing factors.Methods A self-designed questionnaire was used to investigate the fertility intention of emergency nurses.A total of 937 emergency nurses from 58 hospi-tals in 3 municipalities and 9 provinces in China were surveyed as objects to analyze the relevant factors affecting the fertility intention.Results The overall fertility intention of emergency department nurses was relatively low(42.05%).The monthly income,marital status,fer-tility status,work intensity,scheduling,and ideal number of children were the main influencing factors of fertility intention among emergency nurses.Conclusion The overall fertility intention of nurses in emergency department is at a low level,and individual management can be car-ried out for married nurses and nurses with low monthly income.The nursing managers can be demand-oriented,develop reasonable schedu-ling plan and nurse training plan,carry out psychological intervention regularly.So that it can balance work intensity and regularly providing professional psychological counseling for emergency nurses to assist in the implementation of the national fertility policy.
