Current situation and influencing factors of knowledge, attitude and practice of dietary control in asymptomatic hyperuricemia patients
Objective To investigate the status quo of knowledge, attitude and practice(KAP)of dietary control in asymptomatic hy-peruricemia patients and analyze its influencing factors. Methods A total of 296 asymptomatic hyperuricemia patients were surveyed using the general data questionnaire,Knowledge,Attitude, and Practice on Diet Control Questionnaire for Patients with Hyperuricemia,Patient Acti-vation Measure-13.Results The total score of KAP for dietary control in asymptomatic hyperuricemia patients was(88.91±12.39).The to-tal score of the patient activity was(24.43±7.07).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that being male, having a history of"three highs"(hypertension, hyperlipidemia, and hyperglycemia),alcohol consumption, exercise less than 5,000 steps per day,and low active dis-ease management were main factors affecting the KAP of dietary control in asymptomatic hyperuricemia patients(P<0.05 or P<0.01).Conclusion The level of knowledge, attitude and practice of diet control in asymptomatic hyperuricemia patients require improvement.Indi-vidualized intervention strategies should be taken to enhance the level of knowledge, attitude and practice of diet control.
