Objective To investigate the status and influencing factors of financial toxicity in patients with colorectal cancer. Methods A total of 255 patients with colorectal cancer were surveyed using a general data questionnaire, the financial toxicity scale of reported outcomes of cancer patients, the Chinese version of decision-making self-efficacy scale, and the resourcefulness scale in a Class A tertiary hos-pital in Changsha City. Results The financial toxicity score of patient with colorectal cancer was 18.00(13.00,23.00).The scores of decision self-efficacy and resourcefulness were positively correlated with the financial toxicity scores(P<0.01).Multiple linear regression analysis showed that occupation, family per capita monthly income,decision-making self-efficacy and resourcefulness were the main influencing factors of financial toxicity in colorectal cancer patients(P<0.01 or P<0.05).Conclusion The financial toxicity of patients with colorectal cancer is at a mild level.Individualized intervention measures should be taken to alleviate the financial toxicity of patients with colorectal cancer, promote mental health and improve the disease prognosis, especially for those with low decision-making self-efficacy and low resourcefulness.
