The analysis on the current status of nursing human resources in community health service centers in Shanghai
Objective To investigate the present situation of nursing human resources in Shanghai,to provide a basis for the rational allocation of nursing staff in community health service centers.Methods By used a self-designed questionnaire,a survey was conducted on the current status of nursing staff human resources in 246 community that including health service centers in urban areas,suburban areas,and suburban areas of Shanghai.Results The ratio of medical care in 246 community health service centers in Shanghai was 1︰0.89.Among them,the ratio of medical care in urban area was 1︰1.05,the ratio of medical care in suburban area was 1︰1.01 and the ratio of medical care in suburban area was 1︰0.54.There were 5.28 registered nurses per 10,000 population in the whole city,including 6.20 in urban areas,4.75 in suburban areas and 5.49 in suburban areas.There were 12 462 nurses in Shanghai community health service center,all of whom were female.And 4 741 were full-time nurses in the family team and 2 969 were part-time nurses in the family team.Conclusion The number of nursing staff in Shanghai community health service center is insufficient,especially in the suburbs,the nursing team is relatively young,the proportion of senior professional titles needs to be improved,and the training of specialized nursing needs to be further strengthened.Managers should implement the nursing staffing standards of community health service centers,attach importance to the cultivation and ability improvement of high-level talents,specialized talents,and"one specialty and multiple abilities"nursing talents,expand the types of specialty nursing train-ing,and further improve the quality of community nursing service in Shanghai to meet the development needs of grassroots health work.
