Analysis research of potential profile and influencing factors of work stress on clinical nurses
Objective To analyze the current situation and potential profile categories of work pressure among clinical nurses, and ex-plore the influencing factors of different categories. Methods By used convenience sampling method, the general data questionnaire,Job Stressor Scale,Minnesota Satisfaction Questionnaire(short scale),and Perceived Organizational Support Scale were used to investigate 465 clinical nurses in two tertiary hospitals in Beijing from April to May 2023,and the potential profile analysis method was used to analyze the potential category and influencing factors of work stress among clinical nurses. Results The work stress of clinical nurses was divided into three categories:"low-level stress group" "medium-level stress group",and "high-level stress group".Multivariate Logistic regression analysis showed that job satisfaction had a greater impact on nurses in the low-level stress group or medium-level stress group(OR=1.841,OR=1.267,P<0.001,OR=1.065,P=0.002).The level of perceived organizational support had a greater impact on nurses in the low-level stress group(OR=1.931,P<0.001).Critical care departments in terms of department types had a greater impact on nurses in the high-level stress group(OR=0.433,P=0.024),and nurses with administrative positions had a greater impact on nurses in the high-level stress group(OR=0.634,P=0.017).Conclusion The characteristics of nurses'work stress are heterogeneous and can be divided into three potential categories. The work stress of most clinical nurses needs to be improved.Hospital administrators should make active interventions in aspects such as developing nursing spe-cialties,optimizing workloads, improving the work environment, and managing instruments and equipment to reduce nurses'work stress.
