Objective To explore the potential categories and influencing factors of career happiness of emergency department nurses and based on the perspective of benefit discovery.Methods A survey of 203 emergency department nurses was conducted using a question-naire on general information and the Career Happiness Scale for Medical Workers.A model of potential categories of career happiness of emer-gency department nurses was established using latent profile.Multivariate Logistic regression analyses were used to explore the factors influen-cing the potential categories of career happiness of emergency department nurses.Results The career happiness of emergency department nurses was divided into three potential types,including low career happiness group(20.20% ),social support lack group(42.86% )and high career happiness group(36.95% ).Multiple Logistic regression analysis showed that choose nursing work willingness and the employment mode were the factors influencing the career happiness of emergency department nurses(P<0.05).Conclusion The career happiness of nurses in emergency department can be divided into three potential categories.Nursing managers can target effective interventions for the career happiness of nurses in the emergency department in terms of willingness to choose nursing jobs and employment practices.
