Objective To investigate the status and influencing factors of pain catastrophic in lumbar disc herniation patients,and to provide reference for formulating nursing countermeasures.Methods By a cross-sectional study,a convenient sampling method was imple-mented to collect a total of 101 lumbar disc herniation patients who were treated in a Anhui TCM hospital from January 2022 to May 2023.General Information Questionnaire,Pain Catastrophizing Scale,Coping Strategies Questionnaire,Positive and Negative Affect Scale were con-ducted for investigation.Results The scores of pain catastrophizing scale,coping strategies questionnaire,positive affect scale,and negative affect scale were(30.95±6.59),(61.11±12.74),(23.68±5.25),(31.19±6.49),respectively.Multiple linear regression analysis demonstra-ted that the course of disease,and the scores of coping strategies questionnaire,positive and negative affect scale were influencing factors for pain catastrophic in lumbar disc herniation patients(P<0.05).Conclusion The pain catastrophic in patients with lumbar disc herniation is at a moderate to high level.Clinical nursing workers should timely evaluate the catastrophizing of pain in patients with lumbar disc herniation based on their different disease course,pain coping strategies,and emotional states,and strengthen individualized pain intervention and management.
