The mediating effect of workplace satisfaction on the relationship between organizational justice and turnover intention among male nurses
Objective To investigate the current situation of organizational justice,workplace satisfaction and turnover intention among male nurses,as well as to explore the mediating effect of workplace satisfaction on the relationship between organizational justice and turnover intention.Methods A total of 221 male nurses were investigated by general data questionnaire,Organizational Justice Scale,the Nursing Workplace Satisfaction Questionnaire and Turnover Intention Questionnaire.Results The total scores of organizational justice,workplace sat-isfaction and turnover intention were(84.15±14.06),(61.31±8.39)and(15.26±3.36),respectively.A significant positive correlation was found between organizational justice and workplace satisfaction(r=0.626,P<0.01),as well as a negative correlation between organizational justice and turnover intention(r=-0.347,P<0.01).Additionally,workplace satisfaction was negatively correlated with turnover intention(r=-0.393,P<0.01).Workplace satisfaction played a partial mediator between organizational justice and turnover intention,with a mediating effect of-0.155,accounting for 49.36% of the total effect.Conclusion Male nurses exhibit a high level of turnover intention.Workplace sat-isfaction plays a partial mediating role between perceived organizational justice and turnover intention.It is an effective way to reduce turnover intention among male nurses through improving organizational justice and workplace satisfaction.
