Effects of PEG Priming Seed on Yield and Main Agronomic Traits of Soybean
To study the effects of PEG priming seed on yield and main agronomic traits of soybean, two varieties of soybean seed which were Kangxian 10 and Ken Da 18 were soaked for 12 hours with different concentration of PEG (0,5%,10%,15%,20%, 25%),then rinsed with distilled water for 3 times and the dehydrated seeds were planted in the field. The yield and main agronomic traits including the node number, seed pod of two, seed pod of three, seed weight per plant,100-seed weight were measured. The results showed that the yield of soybean treated by PEG was increased, especially the one with 10 percent concentration. It achieved 0.01 significant compared to the blank control in main agronomic traits including node number, seed pod of two, seed pod of three, seed weight of per plant and 100-seed weight.
