Research on the Impact of Operation Scale on Farmers'Technical Efficiency under the Background of Green Production—Based on Survey Data from Grape Planters in Fujian
Based on the important development background of current agricultural green production, using the micro-survey data of 314 grape planters in six cities in Fujian province, the technical efficiency level of farmers was measured by the DEA model for variable returns to scale, and the Tobit model was constructed to demonstrate the impact of operation scale on farmers'technical efficiency under the green production mode of rain-shelter cultivation. It was concluded that moderate scale operation can help farmers improve the technical efficiency of green production. The moderate range of grape planting area was 0.67~3.33 hm2.With the increase of operation scale, the difficulty of factor allocation and the increase of moral hazard of employees would cause certain efficiency loss to farmers. Therefore, farmers should choose the appropriate operation scale according to their own factor endowment in actual production, and should not blindly expand.
