Effects of Root Restriction on Chlorophyll and Fruit Characters of'Summer Black'Grape
In order to select the root restriction pattern suitable for table grape cultivation in saline-alkali soil in Daqing, the chlorophyll contents in leaves and fruit characters of grapes cultivated with five patterns of root restriction were compared and analyzed using'Summer black'as the experimental grape cultivar.Compared with the traditional cultivation without root restriction(control),root restriction had limited influences on the chlorophyll contents in leaves and sizes and weights of clusters and berries. However, root restriction significantly improved sugar contents and maturity coefficients, and markedly decreased total acid contents of the grape berries.Combined with all the indicators, laying plastic cloth around viticulture trench had the best effect on berry quality, followed by laying root-limiter raround viticulture trench+laying nonwovens under viticulture trench. But there was no obvious effect of laying nonwovens around viticulture trench on berry quality.Genarally, root restriction played an obvious role in promoting fruit ripening and improving fruit quality, which could be used as a new cultivation mode to improve table grape quality in saline-alkali soil in Daqing.
