Temporal and Spatial Characteristics of Carbon Emissions from Livestock and Poultry Industry in Jilin Province Based on IPCC Method
The purpose of this study was to analyze the temporal and spatial characteristics of carbon emissions from livestock and poultry in Jilin Province from 2000 to 2021,using the IPCC coefficient method. The results showed that the carbon emissions of animal husbandry in Jilin Province showed a"bell"type fluctuation, and the methane emissions from the gastrointestinal fermentation process of livestock accounted for about 56%of the total emissions. This is followed by nitrous oxide and methane emissions from livestock manure management. Finally, the spatial and temporal characteristics of carbon emissions in Jilin Province in 2021 were studied. The results showed that the carbon emission of livestock and poultry in Changchun city was the highest, reaching 229.12×104 tCO2-eq,while that of Baishan City was the lowest, only 18.88×104 tCO2-eq.The results showed that there were significant spatial differences in carbon emissions of livestock and poultry in Jilin Province, which provided a valuable reference for reducing carbon emissions of animal husbandry in Jilin Province.
