There is the rich traditional culture in the teaching of reading and writing in the low-level primary school Chinese.Integrating traditional culture into daily character teaching can help students build a solid founda-tion of cultural self-confidence,promote students'cognitive development,and let teachers get rid of mechanical teaching.However,due to the influence of historical and realistic factors,the teaching goal of reading and writing tends to be exam-oriented,and it is easy to ignore the cultural value behind it;the teaching process focuses on effi-ciency rather than experience,and the quality of teachers needs to be improved;symbolic teaching is emphasized,and it is lack of word research.In order to better inherit traditional culture and improve students'interest in read-ing and writing,this paper puts forward the following ways:teachers should change their ideas to strengthen the teaching of Chinese character culture;create cultural context to enhance students'learning experience;study teaching materials deeply to enhance the sensitivity of teachers'cultural teaching;use word theory teaching to en-hance the depth of students'understanding,so as to comprehensively improve students'cultural literacy and litera-cy ability.
