The influence of snowdrift on highway traffic in cold snowy areas is relatively common and serious.Compared with the high-cost metal or masonry snowdrift control facilities,plant control technology has its unique advantages.According to the formation condi-tions of snowdrift on the highway,it is possible to create snow-proof forests,plant vegetation,or properly use the existing vegetation on both sides of the route to effectively interfere with snowdrift,which can prevent snowdrift from affecting the traffic,while greening the highway environment and coordinating the route landscape.Through comprehensive analysis,appropriate trees,appropriate spacing and reasonable mixed planting of trees and shrubs can be used to create snow-proof forests and snow-proof vegetation,so as to avoid or reduce snow damage caused by highway snowdrift through plant control technology.
