Test and Analysis of Factors Affecting the Stability of Rubber Modified Asphalt Mixture
Rubber modified asphalt mixture can effectively reduce the life cycle cost of asphalt pavement,and show good high tempera-ture stability,low temperature crack resistance and water stability.It has stronger capacity to carry heavy traffic and has broad applica-tion prospects.The road performance of rubber modified asphalt mixture is closely related to the fineness of rubber powder,the content of rubber powder,the aggregate gradation of mixture and the ratio of oil to stone.The effects of rubber powder fineness,rubber powder content,aggregate gradation and asphalt-aggregate ratio on the high temperature stability,low temperature crack resistance and water stability of rubber modified asphalt mixture were analyzed by rutting test,low temperature trabecular bending test and freeze-thaw splitting test.It is confirmed that the finer rubber powder is helpful to improve the high temperature performance,low temperature per-formance and water stability of rubber modified asphalt mixture.Based on the requirements of high temperature stability,low tempera-ture crack resistance and water stability,it is recommended to use 60 mesh rubber powder and 24%admixture.It is recommended to use a finer mixture gradation,and the oil-stone ratio is between8.5%and9.5%.
