Effect of Asphalt Cementitious Material and Gradation Type on the High Temperature Performance of Ultra-thin Overlay Concrete
In order to explore the effect of asphalt and gradation type on the high temperature performance of ultra-thin overlays with a design thickness of≤2.5 cm.Based on the rutting test and dynamic creep test,70#base asphalt and SBS modified asphalt were used as binders. And designed three gradations:AC-10C,SAC-10,ECA-10,and formed six kinds of asphalt mixture combinations for re-search.The results show that the change of the asphalt type has a greater effect on the high temperature performance of the mixture than the change of the gradation type.Compared with 70#matrix asphalt,SBS modified asphalt can greatly improve the high temperature per-formance of the mixture. The coarser the gradation, the more perfect the skeleton is,and the better the high temperature performance. It is recommended to use asphalt with excellent high temperature as much as possible when applying the ultra-thin overlay technology, and use a dense skeleton structure for grading.
