Effect of Maintenance Conditions on the Mechanical Properties of Geopolymer Cementitious Materials
The geopolymer was prepared by using slag, fly ash and zeolite powder as the main raw materials,NaOH and water glass as alkali exciter,in the standard curing and room temperature curing preparation of ground polymer. An orthogonal experimental design with three factors and three levels was used to reveal the effects of the three factors on the 28 d compressive strength of the geopolymer and to determine the optimal ratio of the geopolymer using the 28 d compressive strength as the index. The test results show that the wa-ter-cement ratio has a significant effect on the compressive strength of the specimens under the standard and room temperature curing conditions. The best mix ratio of the combination of the polymer, namely the slag, fly ash and zeolite powder,is 50%,25%and 25%respectively,with water-cement ratio of 0.35 and water-glass modulus of 1.4,and the maximum strength was 68.4 MPa at standard maintenance conditions. The best combination of slag, fly ash and zeolite powder was 50%,25%and 25%,respectively,with water-cement ratio of 0.40 and water-glass modulus of 1.4.The maximum strength was 60.35 MPa with a water-glass modulus of 1.4 at room temperature,it can be seen that different curing conditions have a great impact on the compressive strength.
