Study on Compaction Temperature Control of Highway Asphalt Pavement Construction
Temperature is an important factor affecting the compaction construction quality of asphalt pavement.In order to explore the optimal compaction temperature of asphalt pavement,SMA-13 mixture used in the expansion project of Changsha to Yiyang Express-way is taken as the research object.With temperature as the variable,variable tests are conducted to explore the impact of different compaction molding temperatures on the compaction characteristics of mixture.According to the compaction index characteristics of mixture and the impact of construction environment,determine the effective compaction temperature control range,that is,the tempera-ture shall be controlled above 80℃.At the same time,the regression model of compaction temperature,environmental conditions and compaction time is established through tests to explore the functional relationship between compaction temperature and compaction time,and the optimal compaction temperature is controlled by determining the effective compaction time.The on-site construction shall be carried out according to the effective compaction temperature determined by the tests.The temperature monitoring shows that the effective compaction time shall be controlled within 52 min and the compaction temperature shall be more than 80℃ by regulating the paving and compaction simultaneously.When the compaction temperature is more than 80℃,there is no temperature segregation during the construction,so the temperature segregation can be effectively controlled.
