Effect of Eucalyptus Particles on Ice Congealing and Anti-skid Effect of Asphalt Pavement
Ice congealing of pavement in winter brings great safety risks to traffic, especially dark ice is not easy to detect.Due to poor vision, elderly people are prone to slip on dark ice and wheelchair is also easy to slip and overturn, which may cause accidents. In order to solve the problem that ice congealing in winter brings inconvenience to the travel of the elderly group, the effects of eucalyptus wood particles on the icing time,anti-slip effect and ice melting time of asphalt pavement in wet areas in winter were studied. In the study, the indoor simulation comparison test was used, and it was found that the ice setting time of the samples with eucalyptus wood particles released in advance was 24%higher than that of the untreated samples, the friction pendulum number of the samples with eucalyptus wood particles released in advance was 142%higher than that of the untreated samples, and the ice melting time of the samples with eucalyptus wood particles released after ice coagulation was 12%lower than that of the untreated samples. The test results show that the eucalyptus particles can inhibit the icing phenomenon of asphalt pavement and have anti-skid effect too.
