Thoughts on the Planning of Bicycle Transportation System in China
As a flexible and healthy means of transportation,bicycle has irreplaceable advantages in people's short distance commute.Especially after 2016,with the rapid development of shared bikes,more and more attention has been paid to the planning and construc-tion of bike lanes,and a series of achievements have been made in travel,environmental protection,leisure,and other aspects.Howev-er,the development of bicycle lanes is still relatively backward.For example,the lack of an overall network of bicycle lanes,the un-guaranteed right of way for bicycles,the lack of comfort of bicycle lanes and the poor cycling environment;These factors greatly restrict people's willingness to travel by bicycle.By analyzing the characteristics of bicycle traffic,combined with the current situation of the de-velopment of bicycle traffic in China,and put forward some strategies and thoughts on the current planning of the bicycle lane system,so that it can achieve reasonable layout,efficient traffic,green environmental protection,and public recognition.
