The Application of BIM Technology in Suida Expressway Project
With the rapid progress of highway construction in China,traditional project management methods can no longer meet the re-ality needs of highway engineering management in the current situation,which greatly limits the management efficiency of projects.The introduction and implementation of BIM technology provide a new opportunity for the information transformation of the highway con-struction industry.Due to the fact that the Suida expressway is much longer than a typical road construction project and involves huge financial investment,as well as numerous companies involved in the construction,the complexity of project management is extremely high.In order to avoid management loopholes and ensure comprehensive coverage,the project construction party adopted BIM model-based visual presentation capabilities,coordination,and simulation functions to support the management and support work throughout all stages of the project.This not only effectively reduces investment risks,but also optimizes the speed and quality of design,ensures the safety of the project,and further enhances the ability of asset management and emergency response during operation and maintenance.
