Analysis of the Central Divider Guardrails Grade at Obstacles in Expressway
There have been many accidents on domestic expressways in which large trucks have broken through the central divider guardrail,causing the collision of the pier and the gantry to collapse.It is necessary to specifically improve the guardrail in the central divider to prevent vehicles from colliding with obstacles and provide dual protection.By discussing the severity of accidents caused by vehicles colliding with obstacles in the central divider,the obstacles,protective objects,and spatial distribution of obstacles in the cen-tral divider of expressways are classified.Combined with the guardrail protection regulations of the Code for Design of Road Safety Fa-cilities(JTG D81-2017),the natural number ratio of various vehicle types on domestic expressways,the protection level requirements of various vehicle types at different collision speeds,historical traffic accidents,and the maximum lateral dynamic displacement exten-sion value and the maximum dynamic camber equivalent value of the vehicle of the main representative form of the guardrail,the pro-tection level and guardrail form of different types of obstacles in the central divider are studied and determined.Based on the actual im-plementation of expressways,recommended guardrail protection scheme is given to achieve the goal of reducing the severity of traffic accidents in the central divider.
