With the rapid development of urban and rural economy and the advancement of urbanization,the scale of rural roads has been expanding,providing better transportation conditions and convenient services for rural areas,which plays a non-negligible role in promoting the development of rural economy and improving the living standards of farmers.However,the construction and maintenance of rural roads often cause potential safety hazards to passing vehicles and pedestrians,so it is necessary to take more stringent measures to strengthen the safety management of rural road construction and maintenance construction,and continuously improve the safety serv-ice quality of rural roads.The purpose of this paper is to discuss the safety issues of rural road construction and maintenance in China,and put forward corresponding countermeasures from six aspects:road network planning,capital investment,rules and regulations,per-sonnel management,safety training,and modern means,so as to ensure the safety and smooth traffic safety of construction safety and construction sections.
