Application of Traffic Organization of Non-motorized Lanes at Urban Road Intersections
With the increasing demand for non-motorized vehicle travel, traffic safety issues have become increasingly prominent. The call for motor vehicles,non-motorized vehicles, and pedestrians to go their separate ways is growing, and it is urgent to separate the traffic flow at level intersections and ensure the right to slow traffic.Based on the analysis of the current safety hazards of non-motor-ized vehicle crossing at urban level intersections, insufficient traffic organization design, and unclear allocation of road rights and cross-ing time, combined with factors such as non-motorized vehicle setting forms on road sections, intersection spatial layout, operation con-ditions,and traffic flow characteristics, four types of non-motorized vehicle traffic organization forms applicable to various types of ur-ban level intersections were studied.
