Analysis of Influencing Factors of Differential Settlement Between New and Old Roadbed in Highway Expansion
In order to study the influencing factors of the differential settlement of the old and new subgrade for highway expansion, the method of numerical simulation is adopted.Analyzed the different subgrade widening methods, different subgrade widening width,differ-ent subgrade height, and the influence of different foundation modulus on the deformation of the new and old roadbed,at the same time, the simulated and measured values of the horizontal displacement of the subgrade top surface are analyzed and compared. The results show that:(1)Under different subgrade widening methods, the unilateral widening mode increases the settlement amount by 92.78 mm compared with the bilateral widening mode, the horizontal displacement increases the 15.61 mm,therefore, adopt the two-sided broad-ening method as the appropriate broadening method.(2)When the height of the subgrade is 6.2 m,compared to the layered filling method, the maximum differential settlement of the top surface of the old subgrade and the new subgrade has decreased by 8.9%and 3.1%respectively.The horizontal displacement of the subgrade top surface was reduced by 4.1%.Therefore,the partial filling method is the appropriate filling method.(3)The measured value of the maximum horizontal displacement of the top surface of the subgrade is 0.56 mm,and the simulated value of the top surface horizontal displacement of the subgrade is basically consistent with the measured value.(4)In the highway expansion project,it is recommended to widen the subgrade, and the geogrid to strengthen the splicing of the old subgrade,to prevent the relative sliding between the old and new subgrade.
