Feasibility Analysis of Blending Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement Aggregate and Reclaimed Concrete Aggregate for Roadbed
In order to study the feasibility of Reclaimed Asphalt Pavement(RAP)aggregate and Reclaimed Concrete Aggregate(RCA)blends replacing natural aggregate for roadbed, five blends(RAP mass ratio 100%,50%,30%,15%and 0%)were prepared. The compactibility, permeability coefficient, bearing ratio, wear rate and permanent deformation of the blends were tested. The results showed that:(1)The mixture ratio of RAP and RCA had no significant effect on the maximum dry density and permeability of the blends. With the increase of RAP content in the blend, the wear resistance and strength of the blend decreased gradually.(2)The blend is more sensitive to water. With the increase of the target water content, the permanent strain limit of the blend gradually increases, and the elastic modulus limit gradually decreases.(3)According to laboratory and field test results, the combination of 15%RAP and 85%RCA can replace natural aggregate in road subgrade construction.
